| Emily Abbott was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1900. After earning a degree from the University of Minnesota, she enrolled at the Minneapolis School of Art in 1933. While there, Abbott studied with renowned artist and teacher, B.J.0. Nordfeldt. During this time, Nordfeldt was involved in an unhappy marriage and spent most of his time traveling between various teaching positions and a home he kept in Santa Fe. A friendship developed between Abbott and Nordfeldt and the two artists (showing 500 of 1265 characters). |
