| | Born in Montana on Nov. 25, 1906. A graduate of UC, McPheter worked on the Federal Art Project in the 1930s while living in Oakland. During the Depression she married artist Ernst Stolz and for 20 years taught school in the Rodeo public schools. She died in Berkeley, CA on Jan. 2, 1983. Exh: SFAA, 1941. | Source:
