The following information was submitted by the artist: Best known for Pacific Northwest landscapes, portraits, relief prints, as well as her garden, her work is influenced by Canadian painter Emily Carr, Scandinavian Finnish painters from the early 20th Century, and contemporary Finnish relief printers.
Studied painting, drawing, printing and carpentry at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle during the late 1970s with Sherry Markovitz, Norie Sato, Sarah Clark-Langager, Karen Guzak, Charles Stokes, Kathleen Rabel, and John Overton. Studied printing at Western Washington University in the mid-80s with Tom Johnston.
