Othello Michetti was born on Nov. 26, 1895 in Allano, Abruzzi,
Italy. At age ten Michetti immigrated to New York City where he
later was a pupil of Frank DuMond and George Bridgman at the Art
Students League.
At 21 he settled in San Francisco and continued his art education at
the California School of Fine Art. A world traveler, he made trips to
Europe, Alaska and the Orient. His subjects include mining camps,
landscapes and farms of northern California.
