The architecture-driven artwork of Joey Manlapaz is intended to leave the viewer with a strong impression of form's pas de deux with beauty, of the arbitrary fluidity of those fleeting moments that comprise everyday life. She's not interested in urban nightmares, but in urban dreamscapes, wrapped in a gilded bow of realism.
Her studio is in her home on Capitol Hill in Washington DC.
With the realism of her Washington DC streetscapes glorifying the city's old guard bui (showing 500 of 935 characters). |
