A painter, designer illustrator, and sculptor, Ferdinand Lo Pinto was a member of the WPA New York Easel Division, and one of 13 artists sent for the Alaska Federal Art Project (1937 June - Dec.) and illustrated with pen and ink drawings A Guide to Alaska. . He was trained at the National Academy of Design and the Art Students League in New York (until 1937) and studied with sculptor David Smith.
He worked in New York City from 1920 to the 1950s, when he moved to (showing 500 of 1346 characters). |
