Biography from AskART:
| Born in Illinois on Aug. 11, 1876, Anna Lukens settled in Los Angeles
with her family in 1888. At the turn of the century she studied
in San Francisco at the Mark Hopkins Art Institute.
Working in pastel, watercolor, and oil, she painted still lifes,
landscapes, and scenes of Los Angeles. Unmarried, she died there
on Jan. 18, 1963.
