Victor Julius (1882-1958) was born in Boston and later moved to New York to study at the Art Students' League. In the early 1930s, he began visiting and exploring the New Jersey shore and settled into a permanent residence in Manasquan, New Jersey.
Julius was an active member of the American Watercolor Society, Allied Artists of America, the Artist's Fellowship Society, and the Salmagundi Club.
