Painting today's ranch life on the High Plains, Fry was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1924, making his home in Benton Harbor, Michigan. He attended the Chicago Academy of Fine Art, co-founding an advertising agency in Chicago after World War II, and subsequently working as an art director for 22 years.
In the mid 1960s he painted a series of covers for The Quarter Horse Journal and in the 1970s he began taking western vacation trips, serving as "house artist" at the Fear R (showing 500 of 1371 characters). |
