A sculptor using fired clay that she paints with casein, Judy Fox meticulously crafts child figures that address child sexuality. She is also interested in feminist issues.
Judy was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, and studied at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, earned a BA degree from Yale University, and a Master of Fine Arts from New York University. She was an art student at the time when figurative art was submerged by abstraction and took that as a challenge.
