| Stuart Eldredge was born and raised in South Bend, Indiana. After graduation from Dartmouth College he studied at the Art Students League and the Beaux Arts Institute of Design's Mural Atelier, in New York. Later he taught art at Cooper Union and the Art Students League and also designed for industry and painted murals for private homes, offices and the 1939 New York's World Fair. He moved to Connecticut in 1940 to teach at the Hartford Art School and, three years later, to Springfield, Vt., whe (showing 500 of 801 characters). |
