| Illustrator. Born in Oceola, IA on March 17, 1880.
Ewing studied in San Francisco at the Mark Hopkins Art Institute during 1899-1902.
Following the earthquake of 1906, he studied at the ASL in NYC. After returning to Los Angeles in 1907, he was a pupil of Jean Mannheim and a staff artist for the Times.
He was active there until his death on July 16, 1936.
