Originally noted as an abstract artist, Chiu won an award for the "Best Abstraction" in Hong Kong in 1966. After moving to France, he started experimenting with more realistic scenes. Since the early 1980's, Chiu's paintings have received recognition at show and galleries in Germany, France, Hong Kong, and the United States, including the Prize of the Salon at the Salon de St.-Ouen and the Gold Metal at the Salon de Printemps de la Ville de Clichy. |
