Paul Chojnowski's dream-like images of figures, streetscenes and landscapes are created using a unique procedure he developed in his studio.
Chojhowski begins each piece with pencil drawings on wood or paper. He then scorches the surface area using a torch being careful to shield the certain areas with metal masks. He then adds the water element creating what he calls a "water-resist" effect. Viewers often mistakes his work as being done with photographs, but they are drawings.
