| A sculptor of figural subjects that appear long, lean, and crusty, he creates work that looks like it has just been excavated from an archaeological site. A major influence on him has been Italian sculptor Giacometti and also ancient Green sculptures.
He studied sculpture at Michigan State University in East Lansing, and his studio is in a barn in a small town near East Lansing.
He has been represented by A New Leaf Gallery in Berkeley, CA; Gallery 500 in Philadelphia; Malton Gallery in Cincinnati; and Somerhill Gallery in Chapel Hill, NC. |
