Amy Catherine Griffiths Difley Brown O'Toole (1896-1987) was born in New York on July 9, 1896. By the early 1920's Amy Griffiths had settled in San Diego, California. Early in her painting career she was known as Amy Difley Brown. Later in life she married R. L. O'Toole.
She traveled the deserts and coastlines of Southern California on horseback, capturing plein air renditions of the California landscape and shore (showing 500 of 1091 characters). |
