Biography from AskART:

Born in Des Moines, Iowa, he is known as a sculptor and conceptual artist. In 1969, he earned a BFA from Drake University in Des Moines and in 1971 an MFA from the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. He has had numerous commission public sculpture projects in Europe and the United States and has had his primary residence in New York City.
